Massage Services

Deep Tissue Massage: Specific and deep, for the release of muscle restrictions which cause pain and discomfort, e.g. neck/upper back problems.

Swedish Massage: Gentle and flowing, for stress reduction and general relaxation. Also increases circulation.

Myofascial Release: Releases restrictions in the fascia.

Hot Stone Massage: Integrates the use of hot basalt stones. The heat helps to relax muscles and expands blood vessels, allowing the blood to flow more easily. This also makes it a useful tool as preparation for Deep Tissue Massage.

Thai Massage: Involves deep palm and thumb pressure along sen (energy) lines and gentle yoga stretches to increase range of motion, circulation, etc. The massage is performed with the client dressed comfortably, resting either on a floor mat or on the massage table.

Reiki: Healing energy work. Deeply relaxing for mind and body.

Lymphatic Drainage: Helps the circulation of body fluids, stimulates the immune system, promotes a state of deep relaxation and balance within the autonomic nervous system. The touch is gentle, which aids relaxation.

Reflexology: Reflexology is a non-invasive complementary modality involving the use of alternating pressure applied to the reflexes within the reflex maps of the body located on the feet, hands and outer ears. It is used to de-stress the body.

Prenatal Massage: Massage therapy performed during pregnancy can reduce anxiety, decrease symptoms of depression, relieve muscle aches and joint pains, and improve labor outcomes and newborn health. As with any therapeutic approach to pregnancy wellness, women should discuss massage with their prenatal care provider.

Sports Massage: Sports massage is a form of bodywork geared toward participants in athletics. It is used to help prevent injuries, to prepare the body for athletic activity and maintain it in optimal condition, and to help athletes recover from workouts and injuries. Sports massage has three basic forms: pre-event massage, post-event massage, and maintenance massage.

Neuromuscular Massage:  Neuromuscular massage involves treatment to trigger points, which are located in taut bands of muscle fiber bundles. The therapy usually involves the use of ischemic pressure applied to the trigger point so that it releases its tension by resetting the muscle spindles that promote muscle contraction.

We use only hypo-allergenic and organic massage lotions and cremes.
